spreading and arbitrage. Prepared examples and a yield curve
simulator will be used to create a "trading environment" to
integrate the concepts presented and illustrate portfolio management.
Screen-Based Trading
This is an intensive 2-day presentation of technical and
fundamental screen-based trading approaches. Students will
learn how to use graphic analytical methods, Market Profiles and
formula-based studies to define and capture a trading "edge".
Using computers, printed charts and practical exercises, students

Overview of the Derivatives Markets
This 2- to 3-day custom program, created for policy makers, senior
executives and exchange and regulatory officials, provides a broad-based
overview of the market and the conditions for establishing and growing
an exchange. Regulatory and legal aspects of exchange development,
risk management as an integral part of clearing and settlement and
exchange management are covered. Essential links between cash and
derivatives markets are presented. The program addresses principles
of forward and futures pricing, the basic elements of options and
hedging risk in currencies, commodities and rates. Principles of
margining single instruments and their combinations are discussed.
This course is customized from a range of topics drawn from an outline
in consultation with the client to create a program of maximum interest
and local relevance.
Managing a Trading Operation
Most training programs are directed towards the practitioners who
make markets, deal with institutional or private clients or act as
line risk managers. But it is the Senior Level Managers who are
responsible for the risk they may or may not know they own during
trading hours and at the end of the day. This program opens the doors
to identify, assess and manage derivatives risk while tightening the
lines between the executive offices and the trading desks. This 2-day
customized program can be delivered over a weekend to accommodate busy schedules.
Applied Technical Trading
Presented as either a 2-day introduction or a 5-day extended
program, this course provides a variety of technical approaches
applicable to most trading instruments. Theories and applications
behind many of the most popular types of technical analysis, as well
as a few lesser-known approaches, will be introduced and explored.
Through printed graphics and computers, participants get a practical
look at each of the approaches and learn how, when, and when not to
utilize them. Various information sources will be discussed to assist
in the generation of trading signals. At the conclusion of the course
attendees will apply their new knowledge to markets of particular interest in trading exercises.
